Content Policy — MultiMuse

Last updated: August 25, 2026

Who this is for

MultiMuse provides discovery and profiles for roleplay characters and communities. Play happens in Discord; the MultiMuse website shows profiles, connection maps, story timelines, Listings, and Communities — not play-by-post.

  • Website accounts: you must be 18+ to create an account or publish profiles or communities (see Terms of Service).
  • NSFW / 18+ content: content marked NSFW is intended only for adults. Do not access it unless you are at least 18.

Content ratings

We are not a porn site. We do allow adult roleplay communities and mature character themes when they are clearly labeled.

RatingMeaning
SFW (default)Safe-for-work presentation — no explicit sexual content, no graphic nudity intended to arouse. Default for browsing and any muse or community that is not tagged.
NSFW (18+)Mature themes: adult RP settings, suggestive but non-pornographic writing, mature tone tags, etc. Must carry an NSFW badge on the muse profile and/or community listing.

Badges: Both muses and communities (servers) can display an NSFW badge when the owner opts in. If your content is 18+, you must tag it. Untagged mature content is a policy violation.

What NSFW does not mean on MultiMuse: We do not host pornography, explicit sex acts, or graphic nudity meant primarily for arousal — tagged or not. Keep that in Discord or elsewhere; MultiMuse's public surfaces are for discovery and presentation, not explicit media hosting.

Browsing and filters

  • Ratings: profiles and communities carry an SFW or NSFW (18+) label.
  • Beta visibility: the beta does not currently include a per-account setting that hides all mature content.
  • Filtering: browse and filter by rating so you only see what you want.

If you prefer not to see mature content, use the SFW content-rating filter.

Allowed content

  • Character profiles: name, avatar, banner, quotes, notes, tags, availability, connection maps, story timeline entries
  • Creative writing in profile fields appropriate to the muse's rating (SFW or tagged NSFW)
  • Links to Discord servers, Backdrop maps/wikis, and external reference pages
  • Community listings describing RP servers (genre, pace, tone, rating)

Prohibited content (always)

The following are never allowed on MultiMuse, regardless of tags:

CategoryExamples
Pornography & explicit sexual mediaPornographic images/video, explicit sex acts, nudity primarily intended to arouse
Sexual content involving minorsAny depiction or description — zero tolerance; reported to authorities where required by law
Untagged NSFWMature or 18+ presentation without an NSFW badge on the muse or community
Harassment & bullyingTargeted abuse, doxing, brigading, slurs used to attack a person
Hate & extremismContent promoting violence or dehumanization against protected groups
ImpersonationPretending to be another user, staff, or a real person without clear parody/fiction labels
Spam & manipulationFake listings, SEO spam, bot-driven directory flooding, report abuse
Self-harm promotionEncouraging suicide or self-injury
Illegal activityContent that violates applicable law

Violators may have content hidden, accounts restricted, or be permanently removed from MultiMuse.

Privacy and visibility (your controls)

  • Muses marked private do not appear on public MultiMuse pages.
  • You choose whether a public muse or community is SFW or NSFW; we enforce honest tagging.
  • Blocked users cannot view your unlisted profiles or interact with your content.
  • Other users' public profiles must not expose your private muse details without your consent.

Reporting

Every profile and listing includes a Report action. Reasons include:

  1. Harassment — targeted abuse toward a person or character owner
  2. NSFW — mature content without a tag, or explicit material that does not belong on MultiMuse
  3. Hate — hate speech or extremist promotion
  4. Spam — spam, scams, or listing abuse
  5. Impersonation — misrepresenting identity
  6. Self-harm — encouraging self-harm
  7. Other — anything else (with details)

Reports are reviewed by staff. Abuse of the report system may result in action against the reporter.

Enforcement

We review reports and may:

  • Remove or hide content from public view
  • Require retagging (SFW ↔ NSFW) or profile edits
  • Warn, suspend, or ban accounts
  • Escalate CSAM or credible threats to law enforcement immediately

Community moderators (when available) may manage their own community roster; platform staff handle global profile and directory enforcement.

Appeals

If your content or account was actioned, you may submit one appeal per decision by emailing support@backstagepass.quest. Include your Discord user ID in the message (Discord → Settings → Advanced → Developer Mode → right-click your avatar → Copy User ID). A second staff review is final except where law requires otherwise.

Copyright

Copyright holders may send takedown notices to support@backstagepass.quest (see Terms of Service for DMCA details). Repeat infringers may be banned. Counter-notices follow standard DMCA process.

Changes

We may update this policy with notice on MultiMuse and our Discord support server. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
