Test Patchnotes

This is a test of the Patch Notes system

StageHand 1.13.0

This might be one of our biggest updates in a while, so hold on.

What's New?

Dashboard Changes

Making some small changes to IFTTT to make them more approachable by making the names less confusing

  • IFTTT Automations is now "Rules & Watchers" in the dashboard
  • IFTTT Advanced is now "Flow Builder"
No functionality changing here just lining our our naming scheme

In other news the dashboard sidebar has been categorized and organized in a way that makes a bit more sense, and alphabetized. Take a look at https://www.stagehand.quest/dashboard

Full Launch

No changes, but we are now removing the Beta tags from Flow Builder, MIA and Hiatus now that they seem stable!

New things below here should be considered Beta! please report if they dont work as expected!

Checklists!

Checklists are shared, live task lists posted to Discord channels. Each list is a Components V2 message with tasks, a Complete button beside each item, pagination for long lists, and a Completed log tab. When every task is done, the message collapses to your completion text; admins can add tasks later to reopen it.

Presets are templates only — once posted, the checklist is its own live message (not tied to the preset after posting).
In Discord

  1. In Discord (Manage Server): /checklist create/checklist add-task, then /checklist post to a channel.
  2. Admins complete tasks with the Complete button; use Add task on finished lists to reopen them.

Nodes And Presets

Checklists dashboard tab
A new section in StageHand dashboard lets you create and save preset lists (title, completion message, tasks).

Under Event → Checklists:

  • Checklist task added
  • Checklist task completed
  • Checklist fully completed

Under Action → Checklists:

  • Post checklist preset — posts a live checklist message
  • Pick a saved preset from the Checklists tab, or use an inline preset on the node
  • Channel defaults to the trigger thread/channel (same pattern as dice presets)

Reputation

Reputation tracks muse participation in your RP server and awards XP when scenes finish. It’s built for MultiMuse servers: muses earn points when someone runs /scene end on a tracked scene thread (after muses were added to the scene via MultiMuse tracking). Optional linked cards (/reputation link in a forum thread) show a pinned, auto-updating embed with tier, XP, and progress.

  • To setup up go to the dashboard or do /reputation setup
  • To add reputation to character profiles you must go to the profile and do /reputation link and link that thread with a muse. The autocomplete will only allow muses with the server's default tag
  • To manually adjust a character's XP or level do /reputation edit and select the Muse from the list
As always no, we cannot make this work with Tupper or other proxy solutions.

Info Display

Thanks Hope for the suggestion on this one, we expect to build this out before stable release

Info Display turns locked voice channels into live sidebar signage. StageHand renames the channel on a schedule so members see world info at a glance — in-fiction dates, forum tag tallies (factions/houses), or custom text — without opening a channel.

How it works

  • Configure slots in the dashboard (World Setup → Info Display).
  • Each slot targets one voice channel and refreshes on your interval (default 30 minutes).
  • Flow Builder can force a refresh (e.g. after a new character thread is posted).

Quick setup

  1. Create a voice channel and deny @everyone Connect (display-only).
  2. Ensure StageHand has Manage Channels.
  3. Dashboard → World Setup → Info Display → add a slot, pick the voice channel, choose a source:
    • Template — e.g. 📅 {calendar}
    • Forum tag counts — pick your PC/roster forum; rotate one tag per refresh or rollup all counts
  4. Save, then run /display refresh (or wait for the next scheduled check).

Example starter slots

  • world-date — template: 📅 {calendar}
  • factions — forum tags from your character forum, rotate mode

Calendar

We hear you! The World Date options available to the existing Scene module were not sufficient, We're slowly rolling out a new system for supporting a plethora of new date systems. The old Scene dates are still compatible so if you were happy with that system please keep using it, they are the "legacy" setting in the calendar section.

It drives scene thread dates, ticker {date}, Info Display {calendar}, and BackDrop timelines
How it works

  • World Setup → Calendar — one place for mode, scale, month names, and how scenes use the date.
  • Scene Setup keeps Current Day for legacy servers; switch Scene date source on the Calendar page when you’re ready to move on.
  • Fantasy offset advances automatically from an anchor date and pace (with optional Gregorian month lengths for January–December worlds).
  • Manual mode lets you set “today” and bump with /calendar advance or advance days on scene close.

Calendar modes

ModeBest for

Off

Legacy only — Current Day in Scene Setup

Real-world clock

Today’s real date as in-fiction date

Manual

Staff-controlled “today”; advance on scene close or /calendar advance

Fantasy offset

Custom calendar + IRL pace (e.g. Year 497 from a fixed anchor)

Discord
/calendar show and /calendar advance still work for manual tweaks in-server.

Fixes!

  • Node trees no longer delete themselves if you backspace one too many times in a flow name in the Flow Builder
  • Fixed dice displays in the full embed
  • Various drop downs like the scene button forum selection are now in proper alphabetical order
  • Bug were scene button would give interaction failed no longer happens
