Communities
Communities is the server directory on multimuse.app/communities. This guide is for people with Manage Server: how to fill the listing, publish it, and arrange the public page.
Anyone with Manage Server on a Discord server that already has MultiMuse can edit that community. There is no separate claim step. Open Servers, select the guild, and open Community page. View listing opens the public page at /communities/….
The first time someone signs in, MultiMuse asks them to accept the site terms and confirm they are 18 or older. Mature pages stay hidden until they do.

Two tabs
Community page has two tabs. They save separately.
- Listing — the directory card and the words, invite, tags, banner, news channel, and world links.
- Page layout — which blocks appear on the public page, and where they sit.
Save listing writes the Listing tab. Save layout writes the grid. Page colors save as you change them. The announcement channel saves as soon as you pick it.
Listing basics
Display name
The name on the directory card and at the top of the page. It needs at least 3 characters before you can publish. The address under the field (/communities/…) is the public link. Changing the display name does not change that address.
Description
The about text. It is markdown: Preview shows how it will read, Edit returns to the box. Publish needs at least 40 characters here.
Banner
The wide image at the top of the page. 1200×400 (3:1) is the size the page is built for. The title sits over the bottom of the banner, so keep important detail out of that strip.
Upload banner replaces whatever is there. Remove clears it.
Discord banner is folded shut until you open it. Boosted servers can Use Discord banner or Replace with Discord banner. A custom upload stays until you replace it on purpose.
Published in Communities
Turn this on to put the server in the public directory. A published page stays listed for 30 days. Bumping renews that clock. The line under the checkbox tells you where the clock stands.
You also need a Discord invite before publish will succeed. Save listing after you change the checkbox, the name, the description, the invite, the rating, or the tags.
Bump listing
Bump listing is on this same card. It is available only while the page is published and the cooldown has passed. If it is too soon, the card shows the server wait and your personal wait.
A server can be bumped every 2 hours. That wait is 1 hour when the Discord owner has MultiMuse Plus. Each person can bump every 15 minutes. Members can bump from the public page or with /bump in the bump channel. They do not have to be the listing owner.
Bump activity lists recent bumps and a running total.
After 30 days without a bump the page reads Needs a bump, then it leaves the directory until you publish and bump again. You get a reminder about a week before it drops, and Bump ready! in the bump channel when the timer is up. Set that channel under /server setup → Channels.
Discord invite URL
The link behind Join Discord. Paste https://discord.gg/…, or use Generate Discord invite and MultiMuse will make one.
Join Discord checks the invite when someone clicks it. If the saved invite is missing or about to expire, MultiMuse makes a new one when the bot can.
Content rating
- SFW — shown to everyone browsing the directory.
- Mature (18+) — hidden until the visitor confirms they are 18 or older.
Feed and Matchfinder can follow this rating, or staff can set a stricter rule on the app.
Directory tags
Comma-separated labels for search and filters, up to 10. Example: fantasy, slow-burn. These are directory tags only.
The server tag is different. That one lives in server setup (or Servers) and decides which muses belong on the roster, in Feed, and in Matchfinder. Directory tags do not do that.
On the page
Announcements
Announcement source channel is a Discord Announcement channel. When staff Publish a message there, it shows in the Announcements block on the community page. Drafts stay in Discord.
If the server has no Announcement channel yet, create one in Discord, then pick it here. The choice saves immediately.
Live pulse
This block is StageHand data, when that bot is on the server.
- Sync in-world date — show the StageHand calendar date. The checkbox stays off if this server has no StageHand calendar.
- Daily ticker feeds — check the StageHand tickers that should rotate on the page. If the list is empty, this server has no ticker feeds yet.
- Info display slots — check the StageHand info slots to show. Each row names the slot and where it comes from.
Last synced preview shows the date and text MultiMuse last pulled, with the time of that sync. Save the listing after you change the date checkbox or which feeds and slots are checked.
World links
Optional BackDrop pages embedded on the community page.
- Backdrop map URL — the map visitors see in the BackDrop block.
- Backdrop wiki URL — the wiki for that world.
Pull Backdrop map & wiki fills both fields from the world already linked to this server, when MultiMuse can see one. Save the listing after you edit the URLs by hand.
Page colors
Page colors tints the public community page. Fonts stay as they are. Empty slots stay MultiMuse Classic.
Set a default mode (dark or light). Then edit dark and light separately. The slots are:
- Page background
- Surface (cards)
- Border
- Body text
- Muted text
- Titles
- Accent
- Highlight
Clear one slot, or clear all of them, to fall back to Classic. Sync copies colors from the linked BackDrop world when one is available. Color changes save on their own. You do not need Save listing for them.
Page layout
Open the Page layout tab. This is the grid visitors see.
Drag a block by the ⋮⋮ handle. Drag a corner to resize. Click a block to select it. Save layout writes the grid. It stays disabled until something has changed.
On phones, blocks stack full width. Side-by-side layout is for wider screens.
People who have not joined the Discord only see About, BackDrop when a map or wiki is linked, and a prompt to join. Members see the rest.
Add, remove, reset
Add section… inserts a block. Built-in blocks can only be on the page once. The menu marks those as (added) when they are already there. Custom blocks can be added more than once.
About cannot be removed. Every other block has Remove, or the × on the block itself.
Reset layout puts back the starting arrangement: About, BackDrop, Apps, Live from server, Announcements, and Who's playing.
What each block shows
About — the description from the Listing tab.
BackDrop — the map and wiki from World links.
Apps — launch buttons for Feed and Matchfinder when those apps are on.
Live from server — the in-world date, tickers, and info slots from Live pulse.
Announcements — messages published from the announcement channel.
Who's playing — the roster. Members see muses that carry this server’s tag and whose owners are still in the Discord. Search it, filter by tag or RP availability, and open a public profile when one exists. Set the server tag in /server setup or on Servers. Feed and Matchfinder stay off until that tag is set.
Markdown section — a title and a markdown body you write on the selected block. Use it for rules, a how-to-join note, or anything that is not the main description.
Embed — a title, a kind, and a URL.
- Generic iframe — any page you are allowed to frame.
- YouTube — a video.
- Spotify — a player. Size snaps to Spotify’s compact (152px) or list (352px) height.
Social feed — a short preview of this community’s Feed. Set the title and how many posts to show.
Matchfinder — a short preview of this community’s Matchfinder. Set the title and how many cards to show.
Reputation leaderboard and Challenge leaderboard — StageHand standings. Set the title and how many rows to show (1 to 25).
Tab stack — one tile with several of the blocks above as tabs. Select the stack, name the tabs, add or remove tabs, and pick what each tab contains. Handy when Live and Announcements should share one spot.
Server tag, roster, and apps
Directory tags do not put muses on the roster. The server tag does.
Members add that tag to a muse with /muse edit → Add to this server, or with the server-tag chip in Muse Studio. A muse can belong to more than one server.
Turn Feed and Matchfinder on from Servers → Apps after the tag exists. One Feed and one Matchfinder stay free. Extra copies need Plus on the Discord owner.
