MultiMuse has the capability to automatically add text to the beginning and/or end of every post for a particular Muse! If your server requires you to have some information at the tops of your posts, or you always tag the same user tag at the end, this is a good way to do it!

This guide will cover both "/muse header" and "/muse footer" as they are identical other than which part of the post the text attaches to.

Editing wrappers in the dashboard

To edit wrappers in the MultiMuse dashboard, select the Muse you want to edit, then scroll down below the Profile & Card and Display Aliases section.

Click on Add+ and then edit your wrapper! Make sure you give it a preset name that describes it well enough, as that's what you'll use to select it in Discord.

Please note: If you'd like to tag someone automatically, you must input their user ID, not their user handle, due to the way Discord handles tags. To get that user ID, find the person in question, right click their name, and select Copy User ID. When adding it to your wrapper, use "<@[the number]>". For example, <@80079784792555520>

To start applying these headers and footers to your post, follow the instructions below for editing the wrapper in Discord. Instead of naming a new preset and entering text, simply select the preset you made, define the scope, and you're all set!

Editing wrappers in Discord

In your RP channel or thread, select the MultiMuse app menu or use a slash command to bring up /muse header or /muse footer. (If you need instructions on using the app menu, look at the beginner guide.

Select which Muse you'd like your wrappers applying to. If you don't see it in the list available, start typing their name and it should narrow the list down.

If you already created the preset in the dashboard, start typing the name and select from the list. If not, type in a name for the preset you're about to make! Make sure you give it a preset name that describes it well enough, as that's what you'll use to select it again in the future.

Next, define the scope! This means where you want the header to apply in your posts for this character.

Please note: this setting is all or none, so if you use your Muse to post at all in ways you don't want to show the wrappers, then only select This channel.

Next, decide if you want the wrapper to be skipped if you're using an alias. Check out the alias guide for what aliases are and how to set them up.

Finally, enter the text you want for your wrapper into the text field! If you're entering in someone to tag, you can just start typing their @tag here and it will give you the usual auto-complete.

Please note: if you already entered text in here before or you created the wrapper in the dashboard, entering text here will overwrite it. If you would just like to use a preset you've already made, don't select the text option.

You're all set!

If you'd like to stop using your wrappers in that channel, simply send the command again with only the muse's name and nothing else selected and it will clear it out!
